Cedeem Gumbs is a current intern at The Common Good. Along with his internship duties, he is a full-time student at Baruch College—double majoring in English and Political Science. He is deeply interested in policy surrounding student debt and climate change.

Aside from his work at The Common Good,  Cedeem has interned at Grove Atlantic where he was exposed to the different aspects of publishing, including editorial and marketing. Due to his interest in pop music, Cedeem manages a blog on Medium where he reviews albums and discusses the state of pop culture.

Nabila Nawrin

Nabila Nawrin

Nabila is a current intern at The Common Good. She recently graduated from Barnard College, Columbia University with a degree in Psychology. She hopes to be a cultural ambassador and help share cultures and languages with others wherever she goes.

While at Columbia, Nabila was a part of the cultural club Club Bangla and helped promote Bengali culture through events such as the Boishakhi Fashion Show which she founded. She also studied abroad for a semester at Yonsei University in Seoul, South Korea.

In her free time, Nabila enjoys partaking in photography, making vlogs on traveling, and writing. She hopes to continue traveling the world and making videos about her experience and perspective of it.

Bousso Diouf

Bousso Diouf

Bousso Diouf is an intern at The Common Good she recently graduated from the College of Staten Island, with a degree in International Studies and a minor in Political Science and African Studies.

While in university she interned at an NGO called Nonviolence International, it is an international humanitarian organization that seeks nonviolent solutions in violent and oppressive situations.

She currently works at the National 9/11 memorial and museum as a visitor service associate.

On her free time she likes to travel and hang out with friends.

Sundeep Kaur

Sundeep Kaur

Sundeep is a current Intern at The Common Good from Long Island, New York. She is currently attending Baruch College pursing a degree in Business Administration with a double minor in Law and Policy and Psychology. Following graduation, Sundeep wants to pursue a career in Politics/Law to focus on major issues in today’s world such as: Gun Control, Women’s Rights, Immigration Reform and Health Care for all.

As a student, Sundeep is also President of the South Asian Student Association at Baruch College where most of her time there is spent planning events and raising awareness of the South Asian culture and traditions.

Henry Stone

Henry Stone

Henry is currently an intern at The Common Good from Greenwich, Connecticut. He graduated from the University of Vermont with a major in Political Science and a minor in History. After graduating, Henry worked for Senator Chris Murphy’s Fight Back CT coordinated campaign as a Senior Fellow, and after that was an intern in the office of Senator Murphy. Henry has also worked on many local political campaigns as well, including recently Alex Bergstein’s Connecticut State Senate campaign as a Field Organizer, and Jill Oberlander’s Greenwich First Selectman campaign.

Henry aspires to work in Washington D.C. in the future. Either as a congressional staffer, or for a non-profit or NGO that promotes clean energy, gun-control, and voter outreach.

Franciska Miló-Sidló

Franciska Miló-Sidló is an intern at The Common Good. She is an international student from Hungary studying at Wagner College, where she is majoring in International Politics and minoring in Management and History. After graduation Franciska would like to pursue a master’s degree in International Relations or International Business.

As a student, Franciska has been particularly involved with campus life as as international student mentor and being a leader of the campus operations in the Green Committee. She previously interned in the United Nations as a Youth Representative of the SOCA NGO and have been involved with the Master Plan and the Diplomatic Forum where she coordinated and organized events for Ambassadors from other countries.

In her free time, Franciska is a Division 1 NCAA water polo player at Wagner College where they have 20 hours of practice each week and 40+ games in their season.

Kyle is from Muskegon, Michigan and recently graduated from the American University of Cairo with a Master’s of Global Affairs specializing in International Security. He also holds a Bachelor of Arts in History with an Arabic minor from Western Michigan University.

Kyle enjoys traveling, training BJJ, running, and learning foreign languages.

Sam Coughlin is an intern at The Common Good.  His previous experience includes involvement with the notable advocacy group Clean Water Action, canvassing, lobbying and fundraising door to door for Clean Air and Water protections in New Jersey.  Sam just graduated from Miami University with two bachelor's degrees in International Relations and Italian as well as a minor in Political Science.  He has a passion for international politics and foreign policy, especially regarding sustainability.  

During his time in college, Sam gained significant international experience, spending over 5 months in Rome, Italy.  While in Rome, he studied International Affairs and shadowed professionals involved in European law and politics.

Sam spends his free time playing hockey as well as fostering puppies for Guiding Eyes for the Blind, raising future seeing eye dogs. 

Raphaella Heath

Raphaella Heath is a current intern at The Common Good. She is a senior at Columbia University studying political science. Following graduation, she hopes to pursue research in international relations, focusing on international environmental policy and the impact of climate change on inter-state relations and conflicts.

As a student, Raphaella has been particularly involved in debate, attending numerous Model United Nations and Model Congress conferences. She has also been active in student government.

She previously interned at a documentary production firm in Paris, worked for a startup in New York, and taught English in Vietnam.

In her free time, Raphaella likes to read in French, go camping with her friends, and cook.

Noa Marcus

Noa Marcus

Noa is a current intern at The Common Good. She is currently a senior at Montclair State University where she majors in Political Science, and double minors in Jewish American Studies and Global Security and Diplomacy. Following graduation, she is planning to pursue a career in law.

Noa has previously interned for Nonviolence International-NY, where she had the privilege of attending three conferences at the United Nations. In addition, she also researched gun violence and mass shootings in the United States through two major Supreme Court decisions.

In her free time, Noa enjoys to travel, read, and spend time with her two dogs.

Robert is a current intern at The Common Good. He recently graduated from Queens College with a degree in Political Science and a minor in Media Studies. Robert hopes to work in Washington D.C as a staff member for a politician.

Robert has previously interned at the New York State Assembly with Assembly member Andrew Raia. Robert is also a veteran, having served in the United States Army from 2012-2015.

In his free time, he enjoys going on hikes, traveling, and spending time with his friends.

Audrey was an intern at The Common Good before being promoted to Assistant Project Manager. She is currently a senior at John Jay College of Criminal Justice where she majors in International Criminal Justice and minors in Political Science. Following graduation, Audrey is hoping to obtain a masters in Foreign Service to achieve work for the U.S. Department of State.

Audrey has previously interned at the New York State Assembly with Assembly member Kieran Lalor. Following the completion of the internship, she continued to work at the State Assembly with Michael Cusick’s office, assisting in legislative work until the end of the 2019 session.

In her free time, she is an avid soccer player and also enjoys to travel.

Myffanwy Cheng-Thomas

Myffanwy interned at The Common Good from June to August of 2019. She worked in public affairs, communications and marketing, committing her time to social media outreach, website design, event set-up and research. She was also responsible for archiving all previous events held at The Common Good.

Having worked previously for State Assemblyman Thomas Abinanti and the YWCA, she has joined the team to contribute her skills to the organization. Currently, she studies at one of the top business schools in France, ESSEC, in their global BBA program.

In her free time Myffanwy enjoys giving back to the community, writing, learning languages, drawing, reading and playing music.

Alex Janowicz

Alex Janowicz


Alex was an intern at The Common Good over the Summer of 2019, working on web design, event organization, and research projects. He is a rising junior at Colby College where he studies government and economics. After graduating, he plans to pursue a career in law.

In addition to his work at TCG, Alex is also the Treasurer and CLO of Vienna Capital, a private investment company he co-founded in March, 2019. There, among other things, he is working on pursuing litigation against FINRA and the SEC to challenge an unconstitutional regulation.

For leisure, Alex enjoys playing rock paper scissors, running, and drawing.

Alesia Radzyminski

Alesia Radzyminski


Alesia was an intern at The Common Good over the Summer of 2019. Previously, she volunteered at StreetSquash, where she coached squash, tutored middle schoolers, created presentations, and organized filing systems.

She is a student at the Chapin School, and hopes to study International Journalism in college. She speaks English, Spanish, and Arabic, and loves to travel.

In her free time, she plays squash competitively, listens to music, reads, volunteers, and edits footage for a documentary project she is working on.

Francesca Martini

Francesca Martini


Francesca was an intern at The Common Good over the Summer of 2019. She spent her time with the organization redesigning the website, conducting research, and setting up events. She is currently pursuing a major in Political Science with minors in Philosophy and Statistics in the hopes of working in urban planning or criminal justice reform.

As a student at university, Francesca works as the editor for the US Section of a non-partisan political magazine organized by the school’s institute of politics, and associate editor of the undergraduate law magazine. She used the experience she has gained researching and writing about democracy and justice to further The Common Good’s mission.

Lily Kaye

Lily interned with The Common Good in June and July of 2019, working on updating TCG’s website, conducting research, and organizing events. She is currently an undergraduate at Duke University studying Public Policy and Economics. 

At Duke, Lily is a staff writer for a student magazine, The Standard, an Agent at an on-campus leadership program called Duke Launch, and a part of the Outing Club. In Durham, she volunteers at a non-partisan non-profit called Democracy North Carolina which is focused on increasing voter education and turnout in North Carolina.

Brandon Peart-Wright


Brandon interned at The Common Good from June to August of 2019. He helped to update the organization’s website, organizes paperwork, helped with events, and assisted in office management.

Brandon previously attended Nassau Community College and now attends Binghamton University where he studies Political Science. Along with his studies he also interned for the federal program TRIO (SSS) as both a TRIO writing tutor and a TRIO mentor. He also participates in Binghamton’s model UN club.

In his free time he likes to ski, longboard, listen to music and keep up with international politics.

Joseph Djeljevic

Joseph Djeljevic


Joseph Djeljevic was an intern at The Common Good in June, July, and August of 2019. He volunteered at the 2019 The Common Good Forum prior to his internship. He worked on many tasks, including website design and archive management.

Joseph’s prior work entails freelance spreadsheet automation creating personalized documentation for individuals and non-profits. He currently studies Computer Science and Engineering at City College of New York CUNY.

In his free time he sharpens his video editing and Photoshop skills.
